Danielle began her artistic career after college primarily as a portrait painter, and then worked for many years as a metalsmith, making whimsical figurative jewelry. After having children, she moved on to the softer, safer, and more colorful medium of felt. The subject matter in her felt work continues to be eclectic, drawing on her love for exploring and celebrating the beauty and humor of everyday objects and nature, as well as experimenting with abstract shapes and colors, all the while retaining a delightful playful quality. She describes her work as "just plain happy," and enjoys spreading that joy .
She currently lives with her family in Middlebury, Vermont.
