I was born in Boulder, Colorado, USA, and lived with my family in Vienna, Austria, where I went to the American International School. I then graduating from St. Martin’s College of Art in London England in 1979. I was a colorist for textile converters in New York City. I then moved to Los Angeles in the early 80’s, where I established “Cicely”, my silk painting company. I have hand painted silks for boutiques, major museum’s gift shops, such as the High Museum, Whitney, and LACMA. I have had my work in various arts shows around the country, as well as in Los Angeles. Recently I have been creating silk designs using Indian sugar, and from these designs I have created a fantastic collection of Kaleidoscope photographic images. My newest projects are an extensive collection of digital prints from my own photos or paintings. I photographed with my Nikon camera, or iPhone. Sometimes I used my Nikon camera's editing program to create a drawing, and process it in Photoshop to make a digital repeat.
With all my designs I would take my paintings or photos and edit them in Lightroom and Photoshop. After this I had them digitally printed on fabric.
