I’m Jennifer Beaudet, a contemporary impressionist artist from beautiful California.
Born and raised in Southern California, I've always been largely influenced by the ocean. With a great love of nature I like to explore the beauty in simple things.
My art reflects my emotions and expresses my feelings about the subject.
I've always been an artist; attending college and earning a degree in studio art, I put my dreams on hold to raise my beautiful daughter as a single mother. I knew as soon as I could put some time into my art career that I needed to pursue my lifelong passion as an artist. Now I’ve been painting with oils and selling my work since 2009.
Having explored pastels, watercolors, and acrylics, I love oil paints for their rich colors and beautiful impasto texture. I use a brush, palette knife, and my fingers to achieve the look I'm after. These tools create the beautiful nuances I'm drawn to, which are full of expression, allowing my emotions to be freed on the canvas. My subject matter varies from beach landscapes of Hawaii and California, wineries, California mountains, fields of flowers, and glamorous women in gowns. I also find endless inspiration painting floral still life of all kinds, such as peonies, roses, ranunculus, hydrangeas, hollyhocks and more! I love all flowers!
Each of my paintings possess a little bit my soul, and I like to leave the final interpretation up to the viewer so they can develop their own personal connection to my art.
