I live with lots of critters here in Dallas, Texas. Currently, my husband Mike and I serve six strictly indoor cats and two mostly indoor mutts. They are my inspiration and what drives me to create. I love critters. All critters. I guess you could say I'm happiest when covered in fur. I used to make and sell alternative materials jewelry, then I pasted for years creating many kinds of paper mache critters and objects. When we moved into our current home about ten years ago, I started creating critters with yarn. I was remembering my grandmother's crocheted cats which she made for us when we were young and trying to honor that memory with my own touch. I think she would love my crocheted critters. Along the way, I transferred my paper mache designs to fabric and began drawing and sewing pillows small to large in my own critter shapes. Each pillow is hand drawn one at a time. Then I decided to draw some snakes and bugs to make catnip toys for my six and sell them to all cat lovers everywhere. They are a real hit with most felines, there is always one that seems immune to catnip. I love custom creations. Let me know if you have a pet you'd like to have immortalized in yarn or perhaps drawn on some funky fabric and sewn into a shaped pillow. I'd love to hear from you.
